Mieke Boynton is an Internationally-acclaimed landscape and aerial photographer. Her distinctive abstracts are taken from chartered helicopters and light planes, flying over some of the most remote and fascinating areas of Australia, Iceland and New Zealand, and her landscape photographs from all over the world celebrate the breathtaking beauty of nature.

Mieke became a full-time professional landscape photographer in 2018. That same year, she was named “Victorian Travel Photographer of the Year” by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and in 2019, she was awarded the title of AIPP Victorian Landscape Photographer of the Year. She is the first Australian and first woman to win the prestigious Epson International Pano Awards in 2019. Her aerial photograph “Ocean Deity” is representing Australia in the Nature/Landscape Category in this year’s World Photographic Cup, to be held in Singapore in March.

Mieke is a Grand Master of the Australian Photographic Society (APS), a Master with Distinction of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP) and a Master of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP).

Mieke and her partner Matt Palmer own and run the “Alpine Light Gallery” in the beautiful alpine township of Bright in Victoria, where you can visit and view a large selection of their fine art landscape prints.

Judging: End of Year Awards & Dinner

Join us for a night of fun as we award our winners from the year. Awards are given for aggregate point winners and for the images of the year.

For the new members, we have spit roasted meats and salads brought into the Clubrooms. We have found that this works really well as it gives members a chance to chat prior to the EOY Awards presentations. You can bring along some wine/beer and some of the members bring a dessert to share.

Our traditional Welcome back BBQ, we provide the food, you bring along what you would like to drink.

In our meeting part we'll discuss what have you done in the break. We will look at what it takes to make a Triptych. And our competitions will be explained.
